Step 1 — Screen: Paste a job description and get an instant match score (1-10), verdict (apply / review before applying / pass), salary recommendation, fit reasons, identified gaps, and a plain-language summary. Scoring combines general judgment with whatever guidance you've given in the Resume & rules tab.
Step 2 — Tailor (optional, score 5+): Generates a tailored resume and cover note based on your stored resume, the job description, and your custom rules. Also flags any claims worth pressure-testing for accuracy before submitting.
Tracker: Log every application — status, salary, next action, notes — with a dated, expandable status timeline per application, CSV export/import, and an "Active" filter that excludes rejected, withdrawn, and no-response entries.
Summary: A monthly recap computed directly from your tracker. Optional "pipeline insights" appear only when a deterministic pattern shows up in your data (for example, several rejections arriving the day after applying, which usually points to automated screening); generating the written observations is a button you click, and nothing it says is ever applied to your scoring rules automatically.
Demo: "Try the demo" (next to the API key box) opens the whole tool with a fictional candidate's resume, rules, and tracker, and pre-written sample output for Screen, Tailor, and Generate insights, so you can click through everything without a key. It is labelled as sample output wherever it appears, keeps its data in separate storage from any real profile, and can be reset or exited at any time.
Using this tool: Enter your Anthropic API key (get one at console.anthropic.com), then paste any job description and screen it. Each screening costs roughly $0.005-0.01. Resume + cover note generation adds another $0.01-0.02.
The first time you open this page, you'll paste in your resume and answer a short set of optional questions about how you'd like roles scored. Both fields start blank — the "See examples" links show a fictional sample resume and sample answers, and they only land in your own fields if you choose "Load example answers." In the Resume & rules tab, "Export backup" saves your resume, rules, and screening history as a file you can restore later, and "Start over" clears your saved data so you can run setup again.
- No collection. No accounts, analytics, cookies, tracking scripts, or server of its own. Nobody running this tool receives your resume, notes, or tracker.
- Where your data lives. Your resume, rule answers, tracker entries, and screening history are saved in this browser's local storage for this site, on this device only. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them, so use Export backup (resume, rules, and screening history) and Export CSV (tracker) to keep copies. If you used the earlier standalone version of this tool in this browser, it will offer once to add that version's screening history; it only reads it, never changes or deletes it, and only if you say yes.
- What leaves your browser, and only when you click. Screen, Generate (tailored materials), and Generate insights send text directly from your browser to Anthropic's API using your own key: your resume, the job description, and your scoring rules, and for insights, the notes from the tracker entries involved. Anthropic's terms and privacy policy govern what happens to it there. This page never stores your key; it exists only in the page until you reload or close it.
- Two other network requests you don't control. The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts when it opens, so Google can see your IP address and browser details, as with any site that uses it. And the page is served by GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, may keep ordinary server logs (such as IP addresses) that this tool has no access to.
- Files you export (CSV, JSON backups, Markdown summaries) are saved to your own device; nothing is uploaded. Backups contain your resume and tracker notes, so store them somewhere private.
- Demo mode makes no API requests at all — its output is pre-written — and stores its sample data under separate keys, so it never reads or changes a real profile or tracker in the same browser.
- "Email myself" only opens your own email app with a short summary pre-filled; nothing is sent unless you press send.
